Full Moon Bike Ride May 2019

Couldn’t have come up with a better way to ride the last 5+ miles I needed to reach the 4000-mile marker!

Still, a bit peeved about the hack job on my website, but I always believe that good things can come from even crappy stuff.

The good that is coming out of this is I have been wanting to add some features to the website that I hadn’t gotten around to. Now I can add those things while making sure they are going to fit with the goals I have for the site.

Goals For The Website

  1. Encourage More People to Get Out of Their Motor Vehicles
  2. No Special Clothing Needed to Pedal a Bicycle
  3. Advocate Safety for All Road Users
  4. Create a Stronger Community by Putting People First
  5. Awareness About the Positive Role of Art in All Things
  6. Support Local Small Businesses Via Coaching and Purchasing
  7. Ensure a Healthy Community, People, and Planet By Decreasing Carbon Footprint
  8. Be a Good Human

I am also going to start creating Outfit Recipes for when I ride. You will get to see what I wear to ride to the office, pedaling to run errands, out riding for fun, or when bicycling long distances.

My Shape, Sizes, and Shopping Habits

  • Shape: Hourglass
  • Height: 5’11”
  • Sizes: 12-14, Large, and go with XL for jackets and coats because I LOVE to layer.
  • Shoes: 10
  • Favorite Brands: Apt 9, Rock and Republic, Old Navy/Gap, INC – International Concepts, White House Black Market, Maurices, TOMS, and Converse
  • My clothes consist of 70% Pre-Owned and 30% New and I am willing to spend more on items of quality that I know will last (i.e. TOMS shoes when I can’t find them pre-owned)

Shopping Pre-Owned allows me to find classic items and other signature pieces that have gone out of production. This allows me to dress unique and incorporate my own personality into what I wear

Full Moon Ride May 2019 Outfit

When it has been raining for a few days you want to dress to be prepared for anything. Pleather jackets are perfect as they are naturally water repellent in case of rain and are great for layering.
Getting Dressed Time10 mins
Course: Night Riding
Cuisine: Sassy
Keyword: bicycle outfit, booties, capri, jeans, polka dots, riding outfit, stripes, sweater, tank top, Toms
Author: jamielynn

  • Start with the White Polka Dot Tank Top
  • Add OH My Sweater On Top of the Tank Top
  • Capris on the Bottom
  • Cover My Feet and Give Me Inspiration
  • Layer on my red pleather jacket
  • Booties on My Feet
  • Top it Off with a Fedors
  • And a Scarf
  • Pull it all together with a holographic belt

When you are going to be joining in on a group ride, especially a full moon ride, you want to look sassy. That is why I chose this outfit. The Oh My 3/4 Sleeve INC sweater is cropped, which makes it the perfect layering piece. Adding a light tank top underneath doesn’t add bulk. Since it could rain and the temps still drop at night I am going to wear my favorite red pleather bomber jacket.
I am really in LOVE with these Apt 9 Tummy Control Capris. They are great for a casual outfit, but can be dressed up too! For this casual look I opted for my TOMS black booties, but to dress it up I would go with heels. I found the holographic belt on Thredup to add a touch of raveness.
My new favorite hat is this Fedora that we found for Tom for an outfit we put together to ride in the Fourth of July Parade on our vintage bikes years ago. It fits snug enough on my head it doesn’t blow off easily which is a huge bonus!
Included the Red Apt 9 scarf for a bit of extra warmth in case I need it. Even if I don’t it will easily fit into my panniers or my purse for safe keeping.
Should be a Fabulous outfit for a Full Moon Bike Ride no matter the weather!

I am not a cyclist. — I am a wife, mother of three, business owner, business coach, community advocate, & human being who happens to ride a bicycle.
