Full Moon Ride May 2019 Outfit

When it has been raining for a few days you want to dress to be prepared for anything. Pleather jackets are perfect as they are naturally water repellent in case of rain and are great for layering.

Ingredients

Instructions

  • Start with the White Polka Dot Tank Top
  • Add OH My Sweater On Top of the Tank Top
  • Capris on the Bottom
  • Cover My Feet and Give Me Inspiration
  • Layer on my red pleather jacket
  • Booties on My Feet
  • Top it Off with a Fedors
  • And a Scarf
  • Pull it all together with a holographic belt

Notes

When you are going to be joining in on a group ride, especially a full moon ride, you want to look sassy. That is why I chose this outfit. The Oh My 3/4 Sleeve INC sweater is cropped, which makes it the perfect layering piece. Adding a light tank top underneath doesn’t add bulk. Since it could rain and the temps still drop at night I am going to wear my favorite red pleather bomber jacket.
I am really in LOVE with these Apt 9 Tummy Control Capris. They are great for a casual outfit, but can be dressed up too! For this casual look I opted for my TOMS black booties, but to dress it up I would go with heels. I found the holographic belt on Thredup to add a touch of raveness.
My new favorite hat is this Fedora that we found for Tom for an outfit we put together to ride in the Fourth of July Parade on our vintage bikes years ago. It fits snug enough on my head it doesn’t blow off easily which is a huge bonus!
Included the Red Apt 9 scarf for a bit of extra warmth in case I need it. Even if I don’t it will easily fit into my panniers or my purse for safe keeping.
Should be a Fabulous outfit for a Full Moon Bike Ride no matter the weather!

Monday Morning Work Casual

My usual work style is a combination of classic casual with a bit of glitter thrown in because it makes me feel fabulous.

Course: Spring Riding
Cuisine: Casual

Ingredients

Instructions

  • Start out with my new favorite tummy control capris in black
  • Top it with a classic stripe tee
  • Add my glitter
  • Still only in the 60's so I needed a jacket. You can't really see it in the photo, but it has a mesh detail that I Love and having a shorter jacket helps to emphasis your waist when you are a "Venus" shaped woman.
  • Needed a bit of bling and I love this necklace that I found at one of our local Thrift Stores
  • Then finally add a bit of wind while riding Eva Green

Notes

This is an easy quick outfit, but it still has my own personal style with the added detail on the jacket and of course my black glitter TOMS which are my go-to daily shoes. I find that these Apt 9 capris have that extra bit of stretch which makes them comfortable to ride in around town or even long distance. Which I will discover how that is tomorrow as I am riding to Post Falls.

Notes

This was a really comfortable outfit to ride in. I was able to take the blazer off while pedaling so I reduced the sweating and slipped it back on when I arrived at my destination. There is a reason that layering can be anyone’s friend! This blazer has a touch of pleather accents on the collar and the sleeves when rolled up which I really Love.

Brown Does Not Have to Be Boring

Equipment

  • Bicycle: Eva Green
  • Trek Panniers

Ingredients

  • 1 Each Purple Criss Cross Tank Shopko New
  • 1 Each Brown Tweed Button Up Jacket Poshmark Used
  • 1 Each Brown Croc Leather Look Heels Thredup Used
  • 1 Each Rock and Republic Dark Wash Skinny Jeans Kohls New
  • 1 Each Long Silver Necklace Used

Instructions

  • Going to be a rainy day so decided on long pants
  • Even with the rain it was going to be warm so a tank top was in order
  • When I found this blazer on Poshmark I knew it would be a great wardrobe add
  • These heels are actually comfort heels so they don't hurt your feet when wearing them and heels are not hard to pedal in.
  • Final touch

Notes

Wanted to dress up a bit for a day at the office. Adding some heels and a blazer is a fabulous way to take a pair of skinny jeans to a new level. With the added pop of the purple tank, it pulled everything together while adding some excitement to the brown.
