Creating a Stronger Community
As I get older, I realize that I can’t just “live” in my space. I feel the pull to create a better world for those around me; especially those that come after. When we strive to create vibrant, healthy, and financially viable communities it is better for everyone.
We Are Less Connected Than Ever
Although the internet and social media make it seem like we are more connected; we are less connected than we ever have been. And…this is coming from someone whose work life revolves around the internet and social media.
I know and appreciate their value, but we also can’t forget to disconnect and get out into the fresh air as often as we can. Having a business coach can help you to be able to run your buisness in a way that will allow you to find the time.
The Secret to Success
We need to create more walkable/bikeable public spaces, filled with art (by local artists), where people want to be. Not more concrete superhighways. Coeur d’Alene is already doing a pretty good job, but there is always room for improvement. Wouldn’t it be amazing if Coeur d’Alene became the model for other cities to follow? Let’s start to put PEOPLE first in everything that we do.
The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched – they must be felt with the heart. —
For a community to be whole and healhty, it must be based on people’s love and concern for each other —
Bike/Walk-friendly communities are healthier, physically and financially.
Putting People First
Build places that people want to be. Not pave paradise.

REASON PEOPLE DON’T BICYCLE – LACK OF ACCESS
I am a wife, mother, business coach, community organizer, mulit-modal transportation advocate, an almost everyday cyclist, and promoter of all things fabulous.
I have over 20 years of experience as a business owner and business consultant. My areas of expertise are varied, including the last 10 years running my own marketing company focused on online marketing (SEO/SEM, websites, and social media). But I have extensive experience with hospitality, tourism, construction, real estate, and education. I want with everything I do to encourage others to embrace smart growth of their communities and marketing of communities for economic viability.

BICYCLE FRIENDLY — PEOPLE FIRST — THE ARTS
Something curious happened to me the other day. While browsing the internet I came across some pretty scathing reviews of Netflix’s new movie “Bright”. In spite of the reviews, I decided I would watch it anyway. I pride myself on being “open-minded” and capable of forming my own opinions. What happened while watching it was not what I expected though.Read more
