Creating a Stronger Community
As I get older, I realize that I can’t just “live” in my space. I feel the pull to create a better world for those around me; especially those that come after. When we strive to create vibrant, healthy, and financially viable communities it is better for everyone.Learn More
We Are Less Connected Than Ever
Although the internet and social media make it seem like we are more connected; we are less connected than we ever have been. And…this is coming from someone whose business revolves around the internet and social media. I know and appreciate their value, but we also can’t forget to disconnect and get out into the fresh air as often as we can.Local Events
The Secret to Success
We need to create more walkable/bikeable public spaces, filled with art (by local artists), where people want to be. Not more concrete superhighways. Coeur d’Alene is already doing a pretty good job, but there is always room for improvement. Wouldn’t it be amazing if Coeur d’Alene became the model for other cities to follow? Let’s start to put PEOPLE first in everything that we do.
Bike-friendly communities are healthier, physically and financially.
Putting People First
Build places that people want to be. Not pave paradise.
Coeur d’Alene Has a Vision for the Future
Coeur d’Alene created CDA 2030 after input from 1000’s of community members about what they want to see in Coeur d’Alene’s future. There are several action items that fit with the three key things I feel passionate about – Bicycle Friendly, People First, and the Arts.
Enjoy this video that CDA 2030 did about the organization and hear from stakeholders and partners.
